Job summary

Aspenhome is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Arizona. The role ensures accurate ledger entries, reconciles subsidiary ledgers, and prepares complex balance sheets, P&L, and other financial reports.

You will handle multi-entity consolidations, bank reconciliations, and tax reporting while supporting audits and daily cash management. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of related experience and a Bachelor’s in Accounting, with proficiency in Excel (Pivot tables and lookups) and strong

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (Pivot tables, ‘V’ look ups)
• Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
• Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees

Responsibilities

• Electronic check deposits and major customer credit reconciliations
• Maintains fixed asset documentation
• Expense research for all departments
• Departmental reports, as needed
• General ledger journal entries, P&L, balance sheet reconciliation and reporting
• Multiple bank reconciliations
• Multi-entity consolidations and eliminations
• Freight profitability reporting
• Creation of P&L’s for entities and departments
• Multi-state sales tax reporting Royalty reconciliation and reporting
• Co-op reconciliation and reporting
• Budget preparation
• Personal property taxes
• Assistance with audits, as needed
• Back-up for daily banking procedures; cash management
• Back-up for AP (vouchering and check runs)
• Back-up and assistance for commission reconciliation and reporting
• Back-up for payroll processing
