Job summary

Mom’s Meals is seeking a Senior Accountant to support core accounting functions, including monthly close, financial reporting, tax filings, audits, budgeting, inventory accounting, and process improvements. The role partners with multiple departments to maintain accurate records and controls in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and excels in collaboration with finance and non-finance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–7 years of accounting or finance experience with progressive responsibility.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong facilitation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think critically, exercise sound judgment, and solve problems effectively.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly close process from reconciliations to journal entries.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports for internal and external reporting needs.
• Assist with annual audits, 401(k) audits, and budgeting activities.
• Manage fixed asset accounting processes and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare state and local tax filings.
• Complete department labor reporting and analysis.
• Support production payroll processes as needed.
• Collaborate with departments to improve internal controls.
