Job summary

Lutz is seeking a CAS Senior Accountant in the Omaha/Lincoln area. The role focuses on client advisory accounting, financial reporting, and analytics within a collaborative, growth-oriented team.

You will manage multiple client engagements, review financial statements, and help with budgets, cash flow, and software implementations while upholding GAAP and firm standards.

Qualifications

3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in CAS or consulting services.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
CPA designation or eligibility preferred.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, reconciliations, and general ledger work.
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and other financial management systems.
Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build client relationships and work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for multiple client engagements.
Serve as the day-to-day contact for clients, responding to questions and providing timely, accurate information.
Assist with preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections to help clients make informed business decisions.
Support clients with accounting software setup, conversions, and process improvements.
Identify and research accounting issues, ensuring compliance with GAAP and firm standards.
Collaborate with tax, audit, and advisory teams to provide coordinated client service.
Train and mentor staff accountants, reviewing their work and providing feedback to support professional development.
Identify opportunities to streamline client processes and recommend technology solutions that drive efficiency.

MAKE AN IMPACT

As a CAS Senior Accountant you will:
