Ppswork in Ashtabula, OH is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a manufacturing company and partner closely with the CFO. You will support daily accounting operations, strengthen financial reporting, and help improve accounting processes.

You bring hands-on experience with AP/AR and general ledger work, along with strong Excel and ERP skills. This role offers broad responsibilities, a path to influence accrual-based accounting, and opportunities for process improvements.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience; manufacturing/accrual accounting preferred.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems; strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Mansioni

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor invoices, payment runs, customer billing, and cash receipts.
• Perform three-way invoice matching and resolve vendor and customer account discrepancies.
• Maintain the general ledger, prepare journal entries, and ensure accurate transaction coding.
• Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close, including accruals and prepaid expense amortization.
• Maintain accounting schedules and supporting documentation.
• Partner with the CFO to improve workflows, document procedures, and strengthen accounting controls.
• Assist with audit preparation and future cost accounting initiatives.
