Job summary

Sacramento Superior Court seeks a Senior Accountant to perform and direct complex accounting and fiscal duties, including establishing records, budgeting, auditing, and reporting. The role may lead accounting staff and interfaces with multiple funds and audits.

The incumbent applies GAAS, GAAP, GASB and GAS standards while handling financial statements, cost allocations and revenue management. Strong analytical and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Three (3) years of professional accounting/auditing experience.
• Knowledge of GAAS, GAAP, GASB, GAO; budgeting and financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, reviews and processes accounting documents (ledgers, vouchers, billings, POs, asset inputs, claims).
• Reviews and reconciles ledgers and reports for errors and compliance with accounting principles.
• Assists in preparing annual and periodic financial statements and reports.
• Maintains and reviews tables, indexes and codes for reporting accuracy.
• Participates in budget preparation, monitoring and reporting; tracks expenditures.
