Job summary

Excel Medical in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage general accounting functions, month-end close, and billing operations in a fast-paced telehealth environment.

The ideal candidate will have a four- or five-year accounting degree and 3–4 years of progressive accounting experience, with strong GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills. You will collaborate across departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent coursework.
• Progressive accounting experience including month-end close and financial reporting.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills with large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review cash, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, lease accounting, and revenue transactions.
• Maintain GAAP-compliant general ledger integrity.
• Analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare reports, schedules, and variance analyses for management.
• Support audits with documentation and reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities to improve internal controls and efficiency.
