This position can be remote and reports directly to the General Ledger Accounting Manager. Responsibilities include managing monthly intercompany, general accounting, and financial analysis for HII's business units, utilizing the Costpoint Accounting System.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations in Costpoint.
• Researching and resolving issues with bank transactions and fees.
• Reviewing Intercompany Accounting Transfer documentation for accuracy.
• Preparing journal entries and communicating discrepancies.
• Coordinating intercompany charges and accruals.
• Ensuring proper accounting controls and analyzing financial fluctuations.
• Entering journal entries and supporting month-end close activities.
• Documenting policies and supporting special projects.

Qualifications

• 10 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or 8 years with a Master's degree.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of tax laws and financial reporting.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Costpoint, Blackline, and advanced Excel skills.
