• Coordinate global income and sales tax filings with third-party providers
• Lead intercompany reconciliations and support multi-entity accounting operations
• Prepare financial reports and analyze account variances for accuracy
• Support cash management activities and cash forecasts
• Assist with external audits and tax engagements
• Identify process improvements using automation/AI-enabled tools

Job description

NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client’s team. This is a Remote, Contract position.

SALARY: $55–$60/hour (depending on experience)

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience (Senior Accountant level preferred)
• Ability to provide temporary coverage for higher-level accounting responsibilities as needed
• Strong ownership, initiative, urgency, and clear communication; proactively asks questions and partners with the team
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and full-cycle accounting experience (month-end close, journal entries, GL reconciliations, financial reporting)
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred (or comparable ERP/accounting system experience)
• Intercompany accounting and reconciliations experience (multi-entity/global environment preferred)
• Experience supporting global tax compliance and VAT returns; able to manage deadlines and coordinate with external partners
• External audit/accounting/financial reporting experience with high attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

• Coordinate global income and sales tax filings with third-party tax providers

• Prepare financial reports and analyze account variances to ensure accuracy
• Support cash management activities, including maintaining/updating cash forecasts
• Assist with US and international external audits and tax engagements
• Identify and implement process improvements using automation/AI-enabled tools where applicable
• Maintain accounting process documentation and support cross-functional accounting projects
