Job summary

Transport Enterprise Leasing TEL seeks a Senior Accountant to strengthen accounting operations, controls, and month-end close. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to support audits, tax compliance, and high-quality financial reporting.

The role requires advanced Excel, CPA-eligible status, and 4+ years in accounting, with leadership to mentor staff and drive process improvements. This 18-month project offers a completion bonus and benefits eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Support system, process, and control environment enhancements to optimize the accounting operations function.
• Implement and document policies and procedures to support current business needs.
• Prepare audit schedules and participate in annual and potential audits.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure policy compliance.
• Ensure timely sales and use tax returns and reconcile tax GL accounts.
• Manage month end close tasks including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Lead, mentor, and coach staff.
• Review work and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects and continuous improvements.
• Learn and implement improvements to provide world-class service.
