Job summary

Jobot in San Jose seeks a Senior Accountant to join a growing team, responsible for revenue reporting across the organization. This brand-new role reports to the Assistant Controller.

You will own accounts receivable, revenue, billings, collections, and general ledger, execute month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and provide insights to leadership. The position includes a hybrid work model with generous benefits, a fantastic culture, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in both public accounting and private industry (Big 4 preferable).
• Experience with ERP systems and CRM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage key accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable, revenue, billings, collections, and general ledger activities.
• Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis, and financial reporting support.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances between actuals and budget, and provide meaningful insights to leadership.
• Assist in forecasting activities for revenue, billings and collections.
• Partner with external auditors and assist with annual audit preparation and requests.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and increased efficiency.
• Prepare ad hoc reporting and financial analysis to support business decisions.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
