Job summary

Southland Casino Hotel is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to join the Delaware North Gaming team in West Memphis, Arkansas. In this role, you'll provide critical accounting support that includes month-end general ledger close, audit documentation, and financial analysis.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and possess 3–5 years of relevant experience. We offer a competitive salary range of $56,900 to $76,800 annually, along with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is searching for a full-time Senior Accountant to join our team at Southland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas. As a Senior Accountant, you will be providing comprehensive accounting support, including month-end general ledger close, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, audit support, and financial analysis. Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $56,900 – $76,800 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. What will you do?

• Oversee fixed asset facilitation, including tracking, capitalization, and compliance with company policies and GAAP
• Provide accounting support for the unit ensuring timely and high-quality delivery, facilitate and complete monthly close procedures, investigate variances with financial analysis, and enhance internal controls and efficiency
• Prepare audit documentation, support reporting and presentations for leadership, and coordinate with third-party partners as appropriate
• Review contracts and calculate financial obligations, and collaborate with the Controller to support business needs and operational teams to improve reporting and processes
• Manage lifecycle including capitalization, transfers, and disposals, reconcile subledger to general ledger, collaborate with departments on asset tracking and validation, and support audits and process improvements

More about you

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience preferred
• Strong skills in communication, attention to detail, analytics, problem solving, advanced Excel and accounting systems, and knowledge of GAAP
• Strong Excel experience required
