Job summary

CFS's top client in Connecticut is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing accounting team, offering a flexible work environment and a hybrid onsite/remote schedule in West Hartford, CT.

The role includes monthly financial results, GL analysis, Prophix reporting, budgeting support, audits, and tax filings; requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and 4+ years of accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Strong general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting experience

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial results for management and outside parties.
• Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Build, maintain, and update financial reports within Prophix.
• Assist with annual budgets, including salary and operating expenses and allocations across multiple entities.
• Assist with audited financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare monthly sales and use tax filings.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies.
• Work cross-functionally with other departments on reporting and process improvement initiatives.
