Job summary

Kreative Technologies, LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant with government contracting experience to support our operational accounting needs. This role collaborates with our CFO and Accounting Manager and plays a key part in month-end close, reconciliations, and accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced government contracting environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting experience, including government contracting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and extensive knowledge of FAR.
• Experience with government contract accounting systems such as Unanet or Deltek (GCS Premier or Costpoint).
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, professional and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and performs reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and makes necessary adjustments ahead of month-end close.
• Supports and helps lead the month-end close process.
• Performs or oversees fixed asset accounting, accounts payable and payroll accounting.
• Prepares project financial status reports for leadership and Project Managers.
• Identifies, researches, and resolves accounting issues; traces discrepancies and maintains supporting documentation.
• Assists in developing, implementing and monitoring accounting policies and procedures.
• Performs complex calculations and analysis in Excel.
• Protects confidential financial information.
• Supports special projects to help the Finance team run efficiently.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 annually
