Job summary

Kreative Technologies, LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant for a remote role that requires residence in MD, DC, VA, TX, GA or FL. The candidate will support CFO and Accounting Manager with month-end close, reconciliations and accurate financial reporting in a fast-paced government contracting environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, deep GAAP and FAR knowledge, and hands-on experience with government contract systems such as Unanet or Deltek.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including in a government contracting environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and extensive knowledge of FAR.
• Experience with government contract accounting systems such as Unanet or Deltek (GCS Premier or Costpoint).
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and performs reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and makes necessary adjustments ahead of month end close.
• Supports and helps lead the month end close process.
• Performs or oversees fixed asset accounting, accounts payable and payroll accounting.
• Prepares project financial status reports for leadership and Project Managers.
• Identifies, researches and resolves accounting issues; traces discrepancies and maintains supporting documentation.
• Assists in developing, implementing and monitoring accounting policies and procedures.
• Performs complex calculations and analysis in Excel.
• Protects confidential financial information.
• Supports special projects to help the Accounting/Finance team run efficiently.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation

$70,000 - $90,000 annually
