Qualifications

• 4+ years of nonprofit accounting experience.
• Experience with general ledger and month-end close processes.
• Knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the organization's general ledger, ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Review journal entries, account coding, allocations, and financial transactions for accuracy across multiple funding sources and programs.
• Investigate accounting discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with external accounting partners to review financial data, resolve issues, and ensure timely completion of accounting deliverables.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash activity to support accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with revenue recognition, restricted funds tracking, grant accounting, and funder reporting requirements.
• Support annual audits and prepare schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for auditors.
