HonorHealth Foundation is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee daily accounting functions supporting Foundation activities, including gift processing, GL, and month-end close. This role partners with Hospital Finance operations and Development teams to ensure donor reporting accuracy and compliance with GAAP and IRS requirements.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in nonprofit/healthcare accounting, with experience in fund accounting and audits.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3 years public accounting or industry accounting experience required.
• Nonprofit, healthcare, fund accounting, or grant accounting experience preferred.
• CPA license is preferred.

Responsibilities include overseeing gift processing, , general ledger accounting and reconciliation, month-end and year-end close activities, audit coordination, preparation of accounting schedules and reports,and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), donor intent, IRS regulations, and Foundation policies. The role serves as a key liaison between Finance, Gift Officers, Events, and the hospital system while providing leadership over Foundation accounting functions and internal controls. The position also drives process improvement initiatives, enhances operational efficiency, and supports special financial projects across the Foundation.As HonorHealth and the Foundation continue to grow, this position will play a key role in identifying, leading, and implementing process improvements that strengthen internal controls, increase operational efficiency, and support the organization's long-term growth. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* Acts as a liaison and partners with Foundation Development, Gift Officers, Events, and Hospital Finance operations to support accurate donor reporting, fund activity tracking, and the stewardship of philanthropic funds that benefit the hospital and its patients.* Identifies opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, system functionality, and operational efficiencies.
