Job summary

HonorHealth Foundation is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee daily accounting functions supporting Foundation activities, including gift processing, GL, and month-end close. This role partners with Hospital Finance operations and Development teams to ensure donor reporting accuracy and compliance with GAAP and IRS requirements.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in nonprofit/healthcare accounting, with experience in fund accounting and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3 years public accounting or industry accounting experience required.
• Nonprofit, healthcare, fund accounting, or grant accounting experience preferred.
• CPA license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting functions supporting Foundation activities.
• Oversee gift processing, general ledger accounting and reconciliations, month-end and year-end close.
• Coordinate audits and prepare schedules, supporting documentation and analyses.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, donor intent, IRS regulations, and Foundation policies.
• Drive process improvements and internal controls to strengthen operations.
