Job summary

SafeHavenDefense, a leading security solutions provider, is seeking a Senior Accountant in Arizona to maintain financial records, support month-end close, and oversee AP/AR. The role includes tax reporting, budgets, and forecasts, with GAAP compliance and internal controls.

This salaried, exempt position allows for 1 day of work-from-home and requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
Seven years of related accounting experience.
3-5 years of management experience.
3 years of experience with sales tax.
Experience with QuickBooks, Miter and HubSpot preferred.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly closing journal entries in QuickBooks.
Maintain reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Reconcile vendor payables and customer receivables.
Manage customer billing and collections.
Ensure revenue and expenses are properly recorded in QuickBooks.
Process and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly cash reconciliations.
Oversee vendor billing and payment remittance with invoicing and payments to vendors.
Manage monthly company credit card reconciliations.
Oversee multi-state sales tax processing and related tax liabilities.
Ensure GAAP and company policy compliance.
Generate monthly sales commission reports and statements.
Support year-end audits and other reporting requests.
