The Staff Accountant III performs advanced accounting functions and reporting through the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. Responsibilities include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Reports the organization's finances to management, and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts. This position identifies process improvement opportunities and may provide functional advice and training to less experienced Accountants.

This is an internal and external client facing position that requires excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills (listening/verbal/written). One must be able to; manage difficult or emotional client situations; Respond promptly to client needs; Solicit client feedback to improve service; Respond to requests for service and assistance from clients; Meet commitments to clients.

BS/BA and 5+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, and 2 years of SME in respective areas
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have evidence of strong working knowledge of MAS500, or equivalent accounting software, and strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.

This position works on-site at the San Diego Headquarters or other company location (or from a remote location with management approval based on business requirements). This is a full-time non-exempt position requiring one to be able to work overtime from time to time to get the job done. Therefore, one must have the ability to work nights, weekends or on holidays as required. This may be changed at any time to meet the needs of the business. The typical working hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
This position requires domestic travel of up to 5% of the time.
