Job summary

Sakuu Corporation in San Jose, CA, seeks a Senior Accountant to lead monthly close, inventory and cost accounting, and financial reporting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This hands-on role reports to the accounting manager and is on-site.

You will prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, assist audits, and partner with operations on BOMs and inventory movement, while ensuring US GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and month-end close process.
• Manufacturing or technology accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Participate in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Manage inventory and cost accounting, including variance analysis.
• Partner with operations to validate production data, BOMs, and inventory movement.
• Prepare internal financial reports and balance sheet and P&L analysis.
• Support audits, tax filings, and external reporting requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Assist with cash flow and working capital analysis.

Role Summary

Sakuu is seeking a Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations in a fast-paced, manufacturing-focused environment. This is a hands-on role responsible for monthly close activities, inventory and cost accounting, and financial reporting, with direct exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. The position is fully on-site and reports to the accounting manager.

Key Responsibilities
