Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Senior Accountant in San Antonio, onsite, to support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. You will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements while tracking fixed assets and schedules.

You will collaborate with AP/AR/payroll/banking teams and contribute to budgeting, variance analysis, and year-end close. Strong GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Accounting preferred).
• 3-5 years of progressive, full-cycle accounting experience.
• Solid working knowledge of GAAP.
• Hands-on experience with general ledger, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation tools).
• Comfortable supporting several entities, departments, and cost centers.
• Strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills.
• Works independently, with sound judgment on confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Own portions of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial statements.
• Track fixed assets and maintain depreciation and amortization schedules.
• Support budgeting and budget-to-actual variance analysis.
• Assist with year-end close and audit requests.
• Coordinate with AP, AR, payroll, and banking teams to resolve accounting issues.
• Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
