Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our team in our downtown St. Petersburg office. This is a full-time, in-office role for a professional with 3–5 years of accounting experience who is either a licensed CPA or actively pursuing their CPA designation.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking ownership of key accounting functions, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), month-end close, and preparation of financial statements. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements
• Support internal and external audits with timely and accurate documentation
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA certification or in active pursuit of CPA designation
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel
