Sacramento Steps Forward is seeking a Senior Accountant to ensure accurate financial reporting under the Finance Director's supervision. Under the supervision and direction of the Finance Director, the Senior Accountant is responsible for performing advanced accounting functions that ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. This role supports the organization’s financial operations through month‑end close activities, account reconciliations, grant and contract accounting, financial analysis, and compliance with internal controls. The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the organization’s financial data and supporting the Finance Director in implementing best practices and improving financial systems.
SSF embraces technology to develop ongoing efficiencies. Currently, the office is a hybrid operation. This is a hybrid position and will require you to report to the office periodically.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a four‑year college or university and at least 5 years in a Senior accounting role.
Compensation range $38.46 to $42.67; planned maximum is at the mid‑range at hire, depending on qualifications and experience (DOE). This is a full‑time, non‑exempt position with benefits; health, dental, and vision, 401k, accrued time off and paid holidays.
