Job summary

LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant for its client in Roselle, IL. This 100% onsite role reports to the CFO and offers exposure to financial reporting, analysis, and strategic initiatives within a growing manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Accounting, 5+ years of accounting experience, knowledge of GAAP, and proficiency with Excel and ERP systems such as Business Central. CPA preferred and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Manufacturing or industrial industry experience preferred.
• Experience with Business Central or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Analyze financial results and prepare variance reporting.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational improvements.
• Provide financial insights and support decision-making across the organization.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Partner with finance leadership on acquisition due diligence and integration efforts.
• Assist with special projects and strategic growth initiatives.
• Coordinate external audits and tax-related activities.
• Maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Recommend enhancements to accounting processes, systems, and reporting.

Senior Accountant - Roselle, IL (100% Onsite)

$90,000-$105,000 Base + Discretionary Bonus

Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a highly visible role offering exposure to financial reporting, business partnering, strategic planning, process improvements, and acquisition activities.

Key Responsibilities

Month-End Close & Financial Reporting

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Financial Analysis & Business Partnering
