Job summary

INSPYR Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant for an onsite opportunity in Rockwall, TX. The role focuses on month-end close, general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations within a manufacturing-finance context.

The ideal candidate has 3–6+ years' experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and a desire to learn cost accounting and manufacturing finance. You will collaborate with finance and operations, support inventory accounting, and participate in audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–6+ years of progressive corporate, general, or senior accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, month-end close, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in the monthly financial close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Reconcile and analyze general ledger and balance sheet accounts and independently resolve discrepancies.
• Review monthly financial results and analyze variances.
• Support accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Partner with finance and operations to understand business performance and its impact on P&L and balance sheet.
• Support inventory accounting and reconciliations across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Participate in cycle counts, inventory audits, scrap reporting, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Gain hands-on experience with standard costing, manufacturing variances, labor and overhead, BOMs, and inventory valuation.
• Support internal and external audits and strengthen accounting processes and controls.
• Identify opportunities to make accounting processes smarter, more efficient, and scalable.

Skillset / Experience:

Senior Accountant

You do not need to be a Cost Accountant to be successful in this role.

If you have a strong foundation in month-end close, general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, GAAP and P&L / balance sheet experience as well as interested in learning the cost and inventory side of the business we want to talk to you!

You will be gaining hands-on exposure to inventory accounting, manufacturing finance, standard costing, margin analysis, and operational accounting while working alongside an experienced team.

This is an onsite opportunity.

What You’ll Own

• Play a key role in the monthly financial close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial analysis.

• Support accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Partner with finance and operations to better understand business performance and its impact on the P&L and balance sheet.
• Support inventory accounting and reconciliations across raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods.
• Participate in cycle counts, inventory audits, scrap reporting, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Gain hands-on experience with standard costing, manufacturing variances, labor and overhead, BOMs, and inventory valuation.
• Support internal and external audits and strengthen accounting processes and controls.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-6+ years of progressive corporate, general, or senior accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, month-end close, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
• Confidence working through accounting issues independently and getting to the right answer.
• Strong understanding of how accounting activity flows through the balance sheet and P&L.
• Experience working within an ERP environment; Oracle ERP experience is a strong plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis.
• Strong analytical instincts, attention to detail, and ownership mentality.
• Ability to communicate and partner effectively across accounting, finance, and operational teams.
• Most importantly: curiosity and a genuine interest in learning cost accounting and manufacturing finance.
