Job summary

AESSEAL Inc. is seeking a finance professional to lead financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and control activities across the organization. The role emphasizes accuracy, GAAP compliance, and strategic analysis to support management decisions.

You will develop predictive models, manage the general ledger, and drive process improvements with the Head of Finance while ensuring timely close processes and robust internal controls across locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and oversee the company’s financial plans and budgets to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Create and maintain predictive financial models to support strategic decision-making and financial forecasting.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including day-to-day upkeep of the nominal ledger and related balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial entries in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
• Analyze historical and current financial data to provide insights into the company’s financial status.
• Prepare regular and ad hoc financial reports, including calculating sales commissions and related accruals.
• Provide financial information to internal stakeholders and support decision-making processes with comprehensive analyses.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations and ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Oversee and ensure the accuracy of financial entries during the close process.
• Collaborate with the Head of Finance to identify and implement process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency and financial operations.
• Manage and lead projects aimed at improving financial accounting, analysis, and overall financial operations.
• Maintain and monitor internal control systems across all business locations to ensure compliance and safeguard company assets.
• Assist with external financial audits and internal control audits by providing necessary documentation and insights.
• Serve as backup for the transactional accounting team, performing related tasks as needed to ensure seamless financial operations.
• Provide overflow support and manage tasks to support the transactional accounting function.
• Provide training and guidance to new and existing staff to enhance their understanding of accounting processes and systems.
• Ensure that all team members are knowledgeable about financial reporting structures and internal controls.
• Perform ad hoc financial analyses and manage additional projects as required by business needs.
• Adapt to changes in responsibilities and duties as needed to support the organization’s evolving requirements.
