Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Accountant on an onsite basis in Plymouth, MA. The role involves preparing financial statements, managing the general ledger, and supporting audits to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The candidate should have a minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in healthcare, and be proficient in GAAP and Excel. A CPA/CMA is a desirable bonus. This full-time position includes benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee and manage all general ledger activities.
  • Review revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and balance sheets.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger integrity.
  • Assist with annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Identify process improvements to accelerate close and reporting.
  • Collaborate with team to ensure accuracy of financial reports.

Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 per year

The successful candidate will be an integral part of our Accounting team, responsible for managing a wide range of Day-to-Day Accounting tasks to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our operations. Responsibilities
  1. 1. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and conformity with professional and regulatory standards.
  2. 2. Oversee and manage all general ledger activities.
  3. 3. Review and analyze revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and balance sheets.
  4. 4. Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
  5. 5. Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  6. 6. Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  7. 7. Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  8. 8. Identify opportunities for process improvements to accelerate close and reporting timelines, reduce manual effort, and improve accuracy.
  9. 9. Work closely with other team members to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reports.
Qualifications
  1. 1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. An advanced degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is highly desirable.
  2. 2. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  3. 3. Proficiency in preparing income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  4. 4. Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), healthcare accounting standards, and financial regulations.
  5. 5. Proficiency in using advanced features of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  6. 6. Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  7. 7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. 8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
  9. 9. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  10. 10. High degree of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
