Job summary

Priority Envelope, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant in Plymouth, MN to manage corporate financial reporting, GL reconciliation, and month-end close with accuracy and confidentiality.

You will prepare journal entries, assist with year-end close and audits, process payroll, tax returns, and support benefits, with opportunities to mentor Billing and Credit staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with accounting and payroll systems; proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts; develop monthly financials.
• Consolidate month-end financial statements and schedules; assist with year-end close and audit.
• Prepare state sales tax returns; review job costing and inventory validation for accuracy.
• Review and approve credit/rebill requests; maintain fixed asset schedules; process payroll.
• Support benefits renewals and back-up for Billing/Credit staff.

Working toward our goal of being our customers Preferred Partner by providing unparalleled customer experiences, team members collaborate on decisions, work within welcoming teams, and share in a strong sense of pride for the work that is done!Join our team as **Senior Accountant!**The Senior Accountant is responsible for various Corporate financial reporting and account reconciliation and analysis.**Responsibilities:*** Prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, develop and prepare financial schedules and consolidated month-end financial statements and other financial reports.* Participate in and assist VP Finance with year end close and audit, account reconciliation, schedules and statements.* Prepare and submit state sales tax returns.* Review job close, job costing and inventory validation reports for accuracy and make corrections as needed.* Review and approve credit and rebill requests.* Maintain fixed asset schedules and update with additions and deletions on a timely basis.* Process payroll for all company locations, including submission, reporting, commission calculations, garnishments, and child support processing.* Assist with annual benefits and insurance renewals.* Provide guidance, backup and support, and direct the work load for corporate Billing Specialist and Credit/Collection Specialist.**Requirements:*** Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and three to five years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
