• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing or project-based environments.
• Strong GAAP understanding and financial reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
• Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities across multiple entities.
• Analyze revenue, project costs, and profitability for accurate reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers.
• Assist with consolidated financial reporting including intercompany activity.
• Prepare financial schedules, reports, and analysis for management review.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide required documentation.
• Support sales tax compliance and other regulatory reporting.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their corporate accounting team in a highly visible role.

Position Overview

• Serve as a key member of the accounting team supporting a global, multi-entity business.
• Report directly to accounting leadership and work closely with finance and operational teams across the organization.
• Take ownership of critical accounting processes, financial reporting activities, and project-based accounting analysis.
• Gain broad exposure to complex accounting matters, international operations, and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries while ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
• Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances, discrepancies, and unusual activity.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities across multiple entities.
• Analyze revenue, project costs, and profitability to ensure financial results are accurately reflected.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and supporting sub-ledgers.
• Assist with consolidated financial reporting, including multinational reporting considerations and intercompany activity.
• Prepare financial schedules, reports, and supporting analysis for management review.
• Partner with external auditors and provide required documentation during audit engagements.
• Support sales tax compliance and other regulatory reporting requirements.
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Background in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, project-based, or similar environments.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
• Experience with revenue recognition, project accounting, or percentage-of-completion accounting preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivots, lookups, and financial analysis.
• CPA designation or active pursuit of certification is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
