Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience in asset management, real estate, or related fields.
• CPA preferred or active CPA candidate.
• Audit experience is a plus.
• Strong account analysis, reconciliations, and general ledger knowledge.
• Experience with quarterly and year-end close processes.
• Understanding of job-cost and cost accounting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including AP and GL maintenance.
• Reconcile asset, liability, and clearing accounts accurately.
• Record costs per GAAP and company policies.
• Record entries for loans, acquisitions, draw requests, sales, and investments.
• Prepare financial and operational reports for senior management.
• Support quarterly and year-end close with internal audits.
• Calculate fund KPIs and assist investor reporting.
• Develop and improve accounting processes and controls.
• Participate in special projects and financial analysis.

The Opportunity

The Senior Accountant will play an important role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our accounting operations while supporting the continued growth of the companies, while being fully supported by credibility of a well-established organization. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable and general ledger maintenance.
• Perform timely and accurate reconciliations of asset, liability, and clearing accounts.
• Calculate and record costs in accordance with GAAP and Company policies.
• Review and record accounting entries related to loans, acquisitions, draw requests, sales, and other investment activity.
• Prepare and analyze financial and operational reports for senior management, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support quarterly and year-end close processes, including coordination with internal audit and other stakeholders.
• Calculate fund KPIs and assist with investor reporting.
• Help develop and improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting as the Company grows.
• Participate in special projects, financial analysis, and other initiatives as needed.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of accounting experience; experience in an asset management, investment, real estate, financial services environment, and/or property management is a plus.
• CPA preferred.
• Audit experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of account analysis, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with quarterly and year-end financial close processes.
• Understanding of job-cost and cost accounting concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to take ownership, meet deadlines, solve problems, and operate effectively in a fast‑paced, growing environment.
• Most importantly, a “Can Do!” attitude and a genuine willingness to learn.
