Job description

Meador an Openwork Company is currently engaged in a search to find a DIRECT-HIRE Senior Accountant in the Pasadena area (77507) that is eager to work. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong full cycle accounting experience that has previously worked in the manufacturing industry.

As a Senior Accountant you’ll be responsible for:

• Manage full-cycle accounting including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable in compliance with GAAP.
• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Maintain vendor master data, process invoices and payments, and ensure proper coding, approvals, and documentation.
• Oversee cash activity, including bank reconciliations, deposits, and cash book management across multiple accounts.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including plant-level cost accounting, depreciation planning, and long-range financial planning.
• Prepare and analyze financial and operational reports, including variable cost reports and other management reporting.
• Calculate, accrue, and file sales and use tax in accordance with State of Texas requirements.
• Track and report on capital projects, fixed assets, and support audits, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives including risk and loss control.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, chemical, or related industries
• Employee management experience is a huge plus
• $75K-$90K
