Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. is seeking a Senior Accountant to support month-end close and financial reporting. You’ll reconcile cash and balance sheet accounts, prepare journal entries, and perform detailed analyses to back quarterly reporting and audits.

The role requires GAAP knowledge and experience with Hyperion, Oracle, and related financial systems. This hybrid position supports the Travel + Leisure group and collaborates across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5 years of accounting experience in a month-end close/general ledger environment.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and detailed analytical skills.
• Intermediate Excel proficiency (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Experience with Oracle, Hyperion (HFM), or PeopleSoft; familiarity with SmartView, Snowflake, SQL.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to partner across levels.
• Timeshare industry experience preferred.

Senior Accountant – Travel + Leisure Co.

Responsible for supporting the month‑end close and financial reporting processes, maintaining accurate reconciliations of cash and balance sheet accounts, preparing journal entries, performing detailed financial analysis, and supporting quarterly reporting and audits. This hybrid role requires strong GAAP knowledge and experience with Hyperion, Oracle, and other financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries in support of monthly financial close, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the corporate schedule (including cash transfers, unclaimed property, closed locations, and AP reclasses).
• Review and analyze financial results for assigned areas, researching and preparing variance analysis for management.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP, with clear analysis and reporting.
• Perform Hyperion (HFM) close responsibilities, reviewing and reconciling non‑cash financial activity used in the Cash Flow Statement.
• Prepare, review, and maintain general ledger account reconciliations and month‑end schedules, resolving reconciling items and escalating exceptions as needed.
• Communicate financial results and issues to management, support customer and AR inquiries, and assist with special projects and ad‑hoc reporting.
• Contribute to the consolidation and reporting of Travel + Leisure’s financial results prior to submission to corporate headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required); CPA or progress toward certification preferred.
• 5 years of accounting experience in a month‑end close/general ledger environment.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and detailed analytical skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Experience with financial systems such as Oracle, Hyperion (HFM), or PeopleSoft; familiarity with SmartView, Snowflake, Braintree, and SQL for data analysis preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to partner across all levels.
• Highly organized, self‑motivated, able to prioritize, meet deadlines, multitask, and work independently or in a team.
• Ability to identify, analyze, and elevate accounting or internal control issues to management.
• Flexible and adaptable, with a sense of urgency and capability to work in a diverse environment.
• Timeshare industry experience preferred.
