Abbott Park, IL-based Senior Accountant role supporting the Nutrition Corporate Financial Services group. You will prepare journal entries, monthly consolidation, and reporting packages while coordinating with FP&A, shared services, and third-party providers.

Responsibilities include improving processes, supporting audits, and ensuring internal controls, with exposure to SAP, Cognos and HFM; strong Excel skills required for data analysis.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years related work experience.
• SAP and HFM experience preferred.

As the Senior Accountant, Abbott Nutrition Corporate Financial Services (CFS) Record to Report (RTR) you will be responsible to prepare journal entries, prepare monthly consolidated reporting packages and other analysis supporting the Nutrition division; serve as liaison between our Shared Service Third Party provider, FP&A and CFS RTR; and drive process improvements. The Senior Accountant will perform accounting related work as well as financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will assist the ANHQ FP&A team with various reporting requests.**What You’ll Work On*** Complete monthly consolidated reporting packages - Profit Review Package, MRP and SRP for Abbott Nutrition.* Liaise with FP&A, CFS, and other Americas Hub team members to execute the financial close, provide guidance, and work together to improve processes.* Perform ad hoc request as requested by management including creating new reporting to increase management visibility into business performance.* Prepare analysis for CFS journal entries.* Provide guidance to Shared Service Third Party Accounting colleagues.* Review and assist in maintenance of Third Party Shared Services Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).* Utilize SAP, Cognos and HFM to view documents and account balances, run reports, analyze and utilize data for analytics.* Efficiently complete Microsoft Excel spreadsheets including pivot tables, vlookups, conditional formatting, and analysis of data.* Main liaison to supervise transactional close for Puerto Rico entity.* Complete external and internal audits and Sox requests.* Ensure compliance with internal controls and provide support for SOX and internal audit.* Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including CFMs.* Elevate issues and recommend solutions.* Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for global systems (HFM/SAP).* Operate independently within a varied and changing scope of responsibilities under some supervision.* Complete special projects as assigned.**Required Qualifications*** Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance and/or Business or equivalent experience.* 4+ years related work experience.* SAP and HFM experience preferred.**APPLY NOW**Learn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives: www.abbottbenefits.comFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
