A leading company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee divisional accounting for trading divisions. The role involves managing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, and supporting M&A activities. Candidates should have a CPA certification and relevant experience in accounting practices. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success in this collaborative environment.
Responsible for managing the Divisional Accounting responsibilities of the assigned Trading Divisions.
Responsibilities include, reviewing business transactions for proper application of accounting, preparation of
division consolidated financial statements, cash flow, lease accounting, and ensures the business specific
internal financial controls, accounting policies and procedures are adhered to. Analyses and assess the
investments of the division for impairment, new businesses and M&A.
Key Areas of Responsibility :
1) Divisional Accounting : Assigned Trading Divisions
a) Responsible for the business transaction accounting management (SAP) and consolidation (OneStream)
of the assigned division's books in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS including performing financial
analysis, balance sheet verifications, investment analysis, posting daily / monthly transaction entries, lease
accounting and preparing cash flow reports.
b) Responsible for preparing the business divisions' financial and management accounting closing reports,
budgets, forecasts and related analysis. Works with the Trading divisions and Subsidiary CFO / Controllers
to manage their compliance to III's accounting rules and policies.
c) Performs the standalone Divisional and Subsidiary Book reviews for the responsible business
units / Subsidiaries and observes the annual physical inventory count.
d) Support the Subsidiaries JSOX readiness process for in-scope entities. Assist in designing financial
closing and reporting processing (FCRP) and Business processes (BP) for subsidiaries including
preparation of accounting policies and procedures and related processes for Company level controls.
2) Other Key Accounting & Risk Management Division Projects
a) A member of the M&A Accounting team. Perform financial due diligence, review valuations, assist in
the new entity integration process (PMI) and other related activities
b) Other Projects and Assignments including assisting in the Financial Statement preparation, III external
audit, updating III's policies and procedures manuals, special projects, internal reviews, JSOX testing
and other projects as assigned by the Controller or Sr. Manager of Accounting / Trade Division.
Qualifications :
Candidate should have 3 - 5 years of relevant experience (including at least 2+ years of public experience or
equivalent) and a professional accounting certification (CPA) is required. The Individual should possess strong
interpersonal, communication and analytical skills and an advanced knowledge of accounting (US GAAP,
IFRS). The candidate should be able to work effectively with other professionals in a team environment.
Knowledge of SAP and OneStream is preferred. Experience in wholesale, import / export or distribution
organizations is preferred.
