About the role
As a Senior Accountant at Entrupy, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the company's financial integrity and success. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting compliance, and providing insights that drive decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What you'll do

• Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries in Xero, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage vendor relationships, process invoices, and ensure timely payments using Zip and Brex.
• Oversee customer invoicing, payment processing, and collection efforts.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Support audits by preparing schedules and documentation as required.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support the implementation of accounting systems and tools, particularly the upcoming transition from Xero to Quickbooks Online.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and projects as assigned.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and senior management to synthesize information, gain alignment, and stay up to date on emerging trends and developments.

What you bring

• Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is highly preferred.
• Experience: 4+ years of senior accountant experience, ideally in a SaaS or technology company.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QBO, Planful, Zip, Brex) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to think long-term and contribute to the development and execution of financial strategies. Demonstrates a proactive mindset in identifying opportunities, mitigating risks, and optimizing financial performance. Strong decision-making skills with a focus on aligning financial goals with overall business objectives.
• Team Collaboration: Proven experience working in cross-functional teams and building strong relationships with stakeholders. Ability to collaborate effectively and influence decision-making.
• Financial Analysis Skills: Expertise in financial analysis and modeling techniques, with strong analytical and quantitative skills. Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis software, with experience in statistical analysis and data visualization tools being a plus. Ability to interpret complex financial data to support strategic planning and business decision-making.

Salary Range: The starting salary for this role is between $80,000 - $110,000, depending on skills and experience. We have competitive pay bands for all other countries based on market standards. Individual compensation decisions are based on several factors, including experience level, skill set, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. Based on these factors, we expect most candidates offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range.
