Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably public accounting at Top 8 firm.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting understanding.
• CPA or CPA candidate status preferred.
• Experience with revenue accounting (ASC 606) and multi-state tax basics.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, especially Dynamics 365 BC, and AI-powered tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end/year‑end close activities
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reporting
• Coordinate with external tax advisors on federal, state, and local tax matters; verify timely payments, maintain organized tax records, and book related journal entries
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate coding and reporting of financial transactions
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Leverage technology and AI‑powered tools to streamline accounting workflows
• Maintain and improve processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Support external audits and liaise with auditors as needed
• Assist the Senior Manager with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience, with a preference for public accounting experience at a Top 8 public accounting firm
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
• High attention to detail with ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exposure to AI tools and interest in applying them to finance workflows

• Industry accounting experience (combination of public + industry is preferred)
