One of Vaco's tip-tier clients is hiring a Senior Accountant in the Mount Laurel, NJ area starting immediately. This will be a temp to hire role and is fully onsite. To be considered you must have your degree in accounting as well as 3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities of the role:

Responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, and internal control maintenance
Record monthly and quarterly accounting journal entries to ensure financial statements are in accordance with GAAP and Tax basis.
Work closely with external CPA firm regarding tax filings.
Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements and variance analysis through the use of the accounting system.
Review general ledger transactions to ensure coding is accurate and all ending balances tie out to supporting documents.

Prepare general ledger account reconciliations.
Develop policies and procedures and employ best practices within the accounting function.
Assist with special tasks and projects as requested.

Requirements/Education of role:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

CPA is preferred.
3 years of accounting experience
Sound analytical abilities.
Advanced Excel skill set
Attention to detail as well as strong written & verbal communication skills.
