Job summary

Premier Biotech is seeking a Senior Accountant to support growth through acquisitions, scale operations, and improve processes. You will partner with the Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting, lead month-end close activities, and integrate acquired entities into Premier's reporting framework.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience working within ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a growing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
  • Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts and investigate variances.
  • Assist in preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP.
  • Support internal and external audit activities.
  • Assist with accounting due diligence activities associated with acquisitions.
  • Support integration of acquired companies into Premier's accounting processes, controls, and reporting structure.
  • Participate in opening balance sheet reviews, account mapping, and financial data validation.
  • Assist with post-acquisition process standardization and financial reporting integration.
  • Support special projects related to growth initiatives and business expansion.
  • Support inventory, revenue, and cost accounting activities.
  • Assist with complex reconciliations involving rebates, chargebacks, vendor agreements, and inventory transactions.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and other business functions to resolve accounting issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiency.
  • Support ERP and financial system optimization efforts.
  • Cross-train within the accounting team to improve organizational resiliency and scalability.
  • Assist in documenting accounting procedures and strengthening departmental controls.

Job description

The Senior Accountant plays a key role in supporting Premier Biotech's continued growth through acquisitions, operational scaling, and process improvement. Reporting to the Controller, this position serves as a critical partner in maintaining accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end close activities, integrating acquired businesses, and strengthening accounting processes across a growing portfolio of entities.

This role offers broad exposure across accounting operations, systems, acquisitions, and business integration activities. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving complex problems, and can influence accounting processes as Premier continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
