Job summary

ebm-papst, a global manufacturer headquartered in the US, seeks a Senior Accountant in Johnson City, TN to provide detailed financial analysis and ensure compliance with policies. The role focuses on cost reporting, asset management, budgeting, and implementation support for SAP, with emphasis on partnering with management across functions.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience in a manufacturing company.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation of financial policies, governmental legislation, accounting theory, or customer financial regulations.
• Participate with outside professional firms on accounting, legal and tax matters.
• Identify trends and recommend improvements accordingly across operations
• Provide management with cost and comparative reports to indicate needs for change in pricing or production.
• Review the fixed asset reports to ensure accuracy and removal of disposed assets.
• Direct preparation of studies, reports, and analyses in budgets, forecasts, financial planning, government requirements, etc.
• Establish databases of pertinent information for analyzing results and forecasts.
• Make recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.
• Develop manufacturing financial reporting and KPI metrics to support factory leadership
• Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, new business planning, trended future requirements, government requirements, and operating forecasts
• Work on special projects as required.
• Maintain the quality of the Accounting Department to service the ebm-papst organization.
• Use software programs: MAC-PAC, Sequel, PC-FAS Accounting, Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Support implementation of SAP

Job Details

• Direct preparation of studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial planning, governmental requirements, statistical reports, and business forecasts.
• Establish databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing results and forecasts.
• Make recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.
• Develop manufacturing financial reporting and KPI metrics to support factory leadership
