The Senior Accountant researches, interprets, and applies U.S. GAAP accounting guidance to complex transactions and business activities within a financial services environment. This role prepares and reviews technical accounting memorandums, supports the implementation and ongoing compliance of key accounting standards, and assists with SEC filings, regulatory reports, and financial statement disclosures. The Senior Accountant collaborates with cross-functional teams to assess the accounting impact of strategic transactions and new products, provides guidance on a wide range of banking activities, and participates in close processes related to technical accounting matters.
This role is based at a corporate headquarters in downtown Jacksonville and operates in a professional office environment within a large employer. The position is initially fully onsite, with the potential to work from home on Fridays after an initial period. The Senior Accountant works standard weekday business hours, collaborating closely with finance, treasury, risk, credit, and other business teams. The environment emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and collaboration, with regular interaction with external auditors and regulatory examiners and a strong focus on financial reporting and technical accounting.
This is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $49.00/hr.
