Job summary

Join Nbutexas, a well-established commercial real estate organization in Irving, TX, seeking a Senior Accountant to strengthen its accounting and finance team. You will handle both corporate and property-level accounting, ensuring GAAP/IFRS alignment and accurate monthly closings.

Ideal candidates bring 4–7 years of real estate accounting, strong analytical and consolidation skills, and proficiency in Excel and Yardi.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 4-7 years of real estate accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of property-level accounting, CAM, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Strong consolidation and analytical experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software (Yardi preferred).
• Ability to supervise or mentor staff.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and ensure accurate reporting of corporate and property-level accounting functions in line with GAAP and IFRS.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, including consolidations, reconciliations, and financial analyses.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements for a portfolio of real estate properties.
• Coordinate and prepare CAM and operating expense reconciliations in adherence to lease terms.
• Maintain general ledger activity for partnership entities and track significant transactions.
• Support process documentation, budgeting, and reforecasting efforts.
• Prepare analyses and investor reports; support annual audits.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with asset management on accounting questions and projects.
