Job summary
Fluxergy, a fast-growing in vitro diagnostics company in Irvine, seeks a Senior Accountant to own key accounting functions and month-end close. You will ensure accurate financial reporting and partner with cross-functional teams to support operations and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience, with strong accrual accounting and month-end close.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
- Experience in manufacturing accounting, including inventory, COGS, fixed assets, and reconciliations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries (inventory, COGS, prepaids, fixed assets).
- Maintain monthly account reconciliations for accuracy and integrity.
- Own fixed asset accounting (additions, depreciation, disposals, CIP).
- Support AR, AP, cash application, and credit card reconciliations as a cross-functional resource.
- Execute key month-end close activities and ensure timely, complete financial information.
- Serve as a key user of ERP and finance systems, supporting enhancements and data integrity.
- Collaborate with auditors by preparing schedules and documentation.

- Prepare and review monthly journal entries, including inventory, COGS, prepaids, fixed assets, and other general ledger activity.
- Perform and maintain monthly account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Own fixed asset accounting, including additions, depreciation, disposals, and construction-in-progress.
- Support Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, cash application, and corporate credit card reconciliations while serving as a cross-functional resource and backup for the accounting team.
- Execute key month-end close activities, ensuring financial information is complete, accurate, and delivered on schedule.
- Serve as a key user of the Company's ERP and financial systems, supporting system enhancements, process improvements, and data integrity initiatives.
- Partner with internal and external auditors by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to audit requests.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and increase operational efficiency.
- Provide guidance and cross-training to accounting team members while serving as a subject matter resource for accounting processes and month-end close activities.
- Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues, support business initiatives, and drive continuous improvement.
- Support special projects and perform additional accounting responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experiencewitha strong foundationin accrual accounting and the month-end close process, preferable within a mid-sized manufacturing organization.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experiencemaintainingaccuratefinancial records and supportingtimelyfinancial reporting.
- Experience with manufacturing accounting, including inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), fixed assets, and account reconciliations.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and exercise sound professional judgment in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experienceidentifyingprocess improvements and implementing practical solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Proficiencywith ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach witha strong senseof ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Active pursuit of CPA licensure or a strong commitment to a career in accounting.
- Experience in medicaldevice, biotechnology, or other FDA-regulated manufacturing environments.
