Duties

R J Pile & Company, LLC dba Pile CPAs seeks a Senior Accountant in Indianapolis IN to play a key role in assisting team members with fieldwork for accounting, assurance and tax engagements, and other accounting services in accordance with our professional standards and Firm policies. This position works directly with colleagues and clients to assist in completion of engagements. Specific duties include:

Tax compliance for clients - partnership, S-Corps, C-Corps, trusts, and individuals. Research for applicable tax code. Review of financial data and other related information - income statement, balance sheet, G/L, QuickBooks, accounting software. Understanding and comprehension of client business and nuances. Technical understanding of accounting related software and security of client specific information.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. 2 years' experience in public or corporate accounting; Technical tax expertise in CCH or other tax-related software; 2 years' experience in working in team environment and mentoring entry level tax accountants and/or interns; 2 years' experience in developing client relations and understanding their business and their potential accounting and tax service needs; Experience in research in annual tax code and compliance updates and determining how it may impact clients. Must be in CPA exam program and pass CPA exam within 3 years of eligibility, or has attained CPA license.
