Qualifications

• Advanced Excel skills, including SUMIFS and financial analysis functions.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile sub-ledger accounts to general ledger balances.
• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Perform month-end close, year-end close, and variance analyses.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management analyses.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities.
• Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepaids, payroll, intercompany, and adjustments.
• Support audits by preparing documentation and schedules.
• Maintain fixed asset records and intercompany balances.
• Assist with tax filings and compliance as needed.

This position plays a critical role in supporting our financial operations by overseeing key accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supervising Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities. Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will provide general accounting support for Nachi America operations and be responsible for key accounting functions including general ledger accounting, month-end and year-end close processes, account reconciliations, financial reporting, inventory and cost accounting, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and audit support.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile sub-ledger accounts to general ledger balances.
• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement, and budget variance analyses.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and management analyses.
• Assist with all financial reporting activities.
• Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries, including:
• Accruals
• Prepaid expenses
• Payroll
• Intercompany transactions
• Other month-end adjustments
• Review A/R and A/P balances and approve batches prior to posting.
• Review collection activities and assist in researching and reconciling discrepancies.
• Maintain minimal Payment on Account (POA) balances.
• Monitor and maintain an appropriate Accounts Payable Aging Report.
• Establish and maintain new customer accounts.
• Process order hold release requests.

Fixed Assets, Tax & Compliance

• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records.
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and schedules.
• Prepare state sales and use tax filings.
• Assist with tax return preparation.
• Complete and comply with government census reporting requirements.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform special projects and other accounting-related assignments as requested.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
• SUMIFS
• Financial analysis functions
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred

• Experience with ERP systems, including Epicor CMS and/or Sage.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Query, or other financial reporting and analytical tools.
• Manufacturing industry accounting experience is a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Collection Associates.

Physical Requirements

The Senior Accountant role requires the ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer, communicate effectively, review detailed information on screens and documents, and occasionally bend, kneel, or lift items weighing up to 15 pounds.
