Job summary

Movement Search & Delivery is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Finance team in Evansville, IN. This role will lead month-end close, manage cost and inventory accounting, and support plant leadership on financial objectives.

You will supervise an Accounting Clerk, participate in process improvements, and collaborate with manufacturing leadership to ensure accurate reporting and strong financial controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2–4 years of accounting experience
• ERP system experience required
• Manufacturing accounting experience preferred
• Cost accounting and inventory accounting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Manage fixed asset accounting and reporting
• Support day-to-day inventory accounting activities and inventory analysis
• Handle intercompany accounting transactions
• Perform manufacturing cost accounting and cost analysis
• Oversee accounting controls related to accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Supervise and support an Accounting Clerk
• Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen financial controls
• Partner with plant leadership to support operational and financial objectives
