Role Description

The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role located in Hamilton, NJ. This position is responsible for managing the general ledger, preparing and reviewing journal entries, and ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings. The Senior Accountant will prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts, oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, and monitor cash flow. The role includes assisting with budgeting and forecasting, supporting audits and tax filings, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with management to provide financial analysis and recommendations that support business decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support management decision-making.
• Ability to work with accounting software and ERP systems; strong Excel skills, including use of formulas and spreadsheets.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP and relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is preferred.
• Prior experience in real estate, property management, or development accounting is a plus.

Pay Range

$140,000 - $160,000
