Job summary

The Planet Group in Franklin, MA is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join a collaborative finance team led by the CFO and Plant Controller. You will manage day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities and locations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.

Key duties include month-end close, GL management, AP/AR oversight, asset and inventory reporting, audit support, and partnering with site controllers to streamline processes and improve

Qualifications

• Hands-on month-end close experience required.
• Strong general ledger and reconciliations knowledge.
• Familiarity with audits and cross-entity reporting beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals
• Manage general ledger accounting and maintain an accurate trial balance
• Oversee AP and AR activities, cash reconciliations, fixed assets, and inventory reporting
• Support financial statement preparation and audit activities
• Partner with the Plant Controller on internal and external audits
• Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple company locations and entities to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial processes
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiencies, and strengthen controls
