Job summary

Kodiak Interiors Group in Englewood, CO is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and assist with audits under the Accounting Manager.

This on-site role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting with 3–7 years of experience, GAAP knowledge, attention to detail, and strong cross-functional collaboration to improve internal controls and reporting processes. Regular interaction with business-unit leaders and year-end close support are included.

Qualifications

• Strong research and reconciliation skills; ability to learn new accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, prepare, and record complex journal entries including allocations, accruals, prepaid amortizations, and intercompany entries.
• Ensure monthly, quarterly, and year-end close is completed accurately and on time; prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and P&L statements.
• Serve as the primary accounting contact to leaders of various business units.
• Assist in development and improvement of internal policies and procedures.
• Interpret accounting data and research solutions to provide timely information.
• Assist with audit requests and preparation of audit schedules.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to improve financial reporting accuracy.
• Complete ad hoc projects, tasks, and reports as required.

Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant for Kodiak Interiors Group will be responsible for the financial reporting function and various balance sheet reconciliations as well as assist with our audits. This position will report to the Accounting Manager. This is a great opportunity for an experienced candidate to work for a growing company.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, prepare, and record complex journal entries including allocation entries, accruals, prepaid amortizations, and intercompany entries.
• Ensure the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close is completed accurately and within the monthly close cycle, including preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations and P&L Statements.
• Serve as the primary accounting contact to the leaders of the various business units.
• Assist in development and improvement in internal policies & procedures.
• Interpret accounting data and information, as well as research solutions to provide accurate and timely information.
• Assist with audit requests and the preparation of audit schedules.
• Work cross-functionally with other departments to increase financial reporting accuracy.
• Complete ad hoc projects, tasks, and reports when required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field plus 3-7 years of accounting experience
• Knowledge and exposure to multi-company organizations preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting theory/GAAP and ability to perform research as necessary
• Must be detail oriented, technically minded and possess a process improvement mindset
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize
• Strong research and reconciliation skills required
• Experience with and ability to learn new financial accounting systems
• Self-motivated team player with strong problem solving skills, ability to work in an engaging and collaborative environment
• Professional level communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization

Physical Requirements:

• Sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Operate cameras, computers, lighting, and production equipment.
• Ability to travel by car or plane up to 5%

This position is primarily on-site at our headquarters located at: 188 Inverness Dr. W Ste. 675 Englewood, CO 80112. Regular in-person attendance is required Monday through Thursday. Friday is an optional remote workday.
