Responsibilities

• Support month-end close by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and meeting reporting deadlines.
• Perform reconciliations across balance sheet accounts (cash, AR, AP, prepaids, fixed assets, inventory, intercompany).
• Assist with variance analysis by researching and explaining monthly fluctuations.
• Help standardize accounting processes and improve general ledger accuracy across entities.
• Prepare audit support documents and assist with external audits.
• Support inventory accounting activities including reconciliations, variance analysis, and physical counts.
• Document procedures and identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and business integration.

Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant. This position is onsite and located in El Segundo, CA.

• Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 + equity

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and ensuring financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Perform account reconciliations across key balance sheet accounts, including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaids, fixed assets, inventory, and intercompany transactions.
• Assist with financial statement variance analysis by researching and explaining monthly fluctuations.
• Help standardize accounting processes and improve general ledger accuracy across multiple business entities.
• Prepare audit support documentation, maintain organized workpapers, and assist with the company\'s external audit process.
• Support inventory accounting activities, including inventory reconciliations, standard cost variance analysis, and physical inventory counts.
• Document accounting procedures and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and support ongoing business integration efforts.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) with private industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including areas such as accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and lease accounting.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth, or multi-entity environment is highly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze financial data and prepare supporting schedules.
• Experience working with ERP systems and processing journal entries in complex accounting environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across accounting and operational teams.
