Job summary

CFS in Denver, CO is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a small construction-focused team. You will own day-to-day accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, and project accounting, with a hands-on, proactive approach.

The role is 100% on-site, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with ASAP start and no expected overtime during close. A strong background in general ledger, reconciliations, and job costing is essential to support leadership and operations.

Qualifications

• At least five years of accounting experience.
• Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Construction or project accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with ComputerEase is a plus; similar accounting software experience is also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day general ledger accounting, accounts receivable, collections, billings, and cash receipts.
• Prepare journal entries and adjusting entries.
• Assist with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Perform account and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and project accounting.
• Assist with forecasting and other accounting-related projects.
• Work closely with the accounting team and upper management to support business operations.
• Take ownership of responsibilities and help keep accounting processes running smoothly.

Position Overview
